That's all that DoorDash will "pay for" as active time. And DoorDash website does say those are the only "allowed to claim" miles. It is wrong. We are independent contractors. Every mile once we open the app to work until we close it out when we are done counts as an overhead expense for us. Per IRS rules and regs, those are claimable miles.
