What they do is bid the routes out and whoever comes in the lowest gets the route. Its hard to notice because they still drive fedex trucks and wear fedex uniforms but if you look on the truck it should have something like JR's trucking or XPV delviery.

FedEx smelled like rotting fish, they pay minimum wage, and management is non-existent. Both only care about throughout but at least at UPS they take things seriously.
