My 2013 Ram went into 4th gear limp mode, I changed the shift solenoid, easy enough. Problem is the shift solenoid is in 1st gear now while the truck is in park up on ramps. Attempted to shift the transmission manually but cannot get the white plastic linkage removed, don't wanna break it.

Jul 15, 2021 · 2015 2500 6.7L 4x4 with 68RFE - 120k miles mostly light duty use. Today on my way to work the truck went straight into neutral when shifting. It stays in neutral until I turn the truck off and back on. It shifts between 1-3 just fine but when it goes into 4th it gets stuck in neutral. A few times before this it would get stuck in 4th gear but ... The transmission fluid is full and looks clean. Thanks for your input, I will check things out, and report back if I find anything obvious. I usually put the truck in storage December 1st (after Michigan's firearm deer season ends) to help save the truck from the Michigan Winter (salt and chemicals on the roads). ….

Your transmission, the 48RE, does not have a Limp-In Mode. 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears are all hydraulic and 4th gear uses a solenoid and a transducer to engage the clutch along with the Torque Converter Clutch.
