Nov 2, 2020 · I just installed STR-DH790 and want two things: 1. When the receiver powers on I want it to start on SAT/CATV by default, not TV. 2. When the receiver powers on I don't want the Sony "Home Screen" or "Easy Setup" guide to be on the screen. If it matters, my TV is a Samsung UN55KU6920. Thank you. We make sure all the eARC settings are on, and we play an audio file in the Dolby Atmos format. If the receiver says 'ATMOS', it means the TV can pass Dolby Atmos signals. When I do direct connect from the Apple TV to the TV, I can get Dolby Vision at 4K 60hz. When I run the Apple TV passthru through the receiver to the TV, the best video I can get is 4K SDR 60hz.The dynamic volume and dynamic EQ sucks. The Sony was so much easier to make sound more pleasing immediately. The Denon room correction was very slow to respond to commands when setting up and then the end result sounded worse than the Sony set up manually. 4K@60Hz is enough for me.
