They sent out a continued interest email on 4/24 and then the first wave was 10 days later on May 4th. Compared to other T20 schools, Vandy accepts a pretty good amount of students from their waitlist, I believe the number was around 200 for my year, and that's pretty standard. If you look up sample LOCI college letters, you'll see a standard outline that you should follow.

I suspect things could be MUCH worse. Anyone easily falling prey to or are ultra sensitive to the characteristics and behaviors that you'd expect from a school with a heavy concentration of not only high achieving, but upper middle to wealthy students, should probably wholesale dodge highly selective research universities.
