I started noticing that when I turn the truck on, it is in 4hi or 4lo. When I pushed the switch to put it back in 2hi, the switch would blink and then stay in either 4hi or lo. After multiple times it would finally go into 2hi then "service 4 wheel drive" would show up on the dash.It is the G80 unit limited slip, posi trac. Problem is this: drives fine going straight no noises or whining, but when you turn fairly sharp the differential is still locked like it has a spool in it. I changed the diff lube today and still doing it. After the fluid change, I drove to work (35 miles), and did about 10 figure-8's in the parking ...Both have the same towing capabilities depending on gear ratios. Seems like the 3.43 is 6700 lbs and the 3.73 (standard on 4x4 Z71 and LT) is 7700 lbs. There is also a 4.10 which can tow even more but you take a hit on the gas mileage.
